Are You Running As Fast As You Can Just To Stay In Place?
“My dear, here we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that.” ~ Lewis Carroll - Alice InWonderland
As the old saying goes "The hurrieder I go, the behinder I get"
I'm often told how hard you are trying, how many hours you spend and how frustrated you are.
No matter what, from time to time there will be some of that, however it shouldn't be the norm or happen often.
You are either doing one, some, or all of these things
1. Working on the wrong thing, getting ahead of yourself and out of sequence.
2. Biting off too big a chunk. This is common because we want to get there in a hurry and don't want to break things down into more manageable pieces.
3. Doing long overly optimistic sessions every now and then instead of short ones everyday. Smaller, daily pieces make this work.
There are more pitfalls, however if you get rid of these, things will get dramatically better.
I have to add one last one, chasing "BSO's." Stop it right NOW! "Bright Shiny Objects" are going to keep you buying & learning, instead of succeeding & earning. Become proficient in the necessary basics, that's all you need.
